BlackTrax tracks objects or people in a defined 3D “space” and delivers in realtime the dynamic positional data in up to 6 Degrees of Freedom information.
A 3D CAD model, ideally in wysiwgy, of the production space -- theatre, studio, sound stage, back lot, whatever – is the starting place -- indeed it is paramount.
Whatever a Beacon is attached to will be tracked in the space; people, forklifts, cars, items on an assembly line, moving pieces of scenery, chorus children during a production at the Met, workers on a factory floor, acrobats on a trapeze -- anything.
Maybe your customers have a very large touring production. At each new stop the space is different -- sometimes drastically -- and items cannot be placed exactly in the same place. BT’s calibration routines will save the day and allow the show to go on almost seamlessly.
Short range systems have 3 degrees of freedom - X,Y,Z (positional data) and are ideal for small and low maintenance productions. Area coverage is 40ft x 40ft x 40ft (12m x 12m x 12m)
Long range - 6 degrees of freedom
Long range systems have 6 degrees of freedom - X,Y,Z (positional data) plus yaw, pitch and roll (rotational data). It's the perfect solution for substantial productions in larger venues. Area coverage is 80ft x 80ft x 80ft (24m x 24m x 24m)
